What is Playwise?
Playwise predicts how much you'll enjoy a game before you buy it, and helps you decide what to play next from the games you already own.
How does it know what I'll like?
During setup, you rate a set of reference games. Playwise uses those ratings to build a taste profile — not just genres, but the specific qualities within games you respond to. Every game you rate after that makes the predictions sharper.
Do I have to keep it updated?
No. Playwise learns from the games you play and rate — there's nothing to maintain.
Do I have to rate every game?
No. A few ratings is enough to start making real predictions. Rate the games you feel strongly about. Playwise fills in the rest as you go.
What if I don't have much history yet?
Playwise starts from the games you rate during setup and builds from there. First predictions appear immediately. They get sharper every time you play something new.
How accurate are the predictions?
Early predictions are reasonable but not precise — the model doesn't know you well yet. After you rate games you've actually played, Playwise shows how each prediction compared to your real rating. That feedback loop is how the model sharpens. Most users find predictions meaningfully accurate after 10–15 post-play ratings.
What platforms does Playwise support?
Playwise covers PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and PC. Connect Steam or Xbox and your library syncs automatically — hours included. Already tracking your games in a spreadsheet or another tool? Import from any CSV.
What makes this different from checking Metacritic?
Metacritic tells you what critics thought. Playwise predicts what you will think. Those are different answers.
Is Playwise free?
Yes. Free to join, no credit card required.
How do I get access?
Playwise is invite-only during early access. If you received an invitation, sign up directly at the link in your invite.
Is my data safe?
