Reviews answer the wrong question.
Most sites tell you whether a game is good. Yet most people only finish 1 in 5 games they buy — not because the games were bad, but because they weren't the right fit.
- Will I enjoy it?
- Is it worth the money for me?
- Do I have time to play it right now?
- What should I play next from the games I already own?
Reviews can't answer those questions. Playwise can.
Not another tracker. Not another database.
Most gaming tools help you record what you've played. Playwise recommends what to play next — and whether it's worth buying.

How it works
Build your taste profile
Connect Steam or Xbox and your library arrives automatically — hours included. Already tracking your games elsewhere? Import from any CSV. Then rate a few games you've played.
Get your Playwise Score
Every game gets a personalized prediction of how much you'll enjoy it — based on your history, not critic scores.
Know what to play next — and what's worth buying
See what to play next from your backlog, whether a game is worth buying, and how your predictions compare to reality.
What you get
A score built around you
Every game gets a personalized enjoyment prediction. Not a Metacritic aggregate — a genuine forecast of your experience. Two players see completely different scores for the same game. The same game on Switch and PS5 can score differently too — Playwise evaluates the version you'll actually play.
Your backlog, prioritized
Stop staring at 80 games wondering where to start. Playwise ranks your backlog by predicted enjoyment, game length, series order, and which games you're most likely to finish.
A clear answer before every purchase
Sales make it easy to buy games you never play. Playwise signals whether a game is a strong fit at the current price, worth waiting for a deal, or a weak match — based on your predicted enjoyment and what the game normally costs.
A profile that learns as you play
Playwise learns what you respond to and gets more accurate over time. Your taste profile surfaces patterns you might not have noticed — and adapts as your preferences change.
Built around how you actually play
Most tools cover one part of the loop. Playwise covers all of it.
Before you buy
Playwise scores every game against your taste, tells you exactly where it fits and where it doesn't, and says whether now is the right time to act on a deal.
While you play
Hours sync automatically from Steam and Xbox. Your queue adjusts as you go.
After you finish
Rate it. Playwise learns from the gap between what it predicted and what you actually felt. The next call is sharper.
In the meantime
Ask Playwise anything about your backlog or wishlist. Check your stats. Your full gaming history, across every platform, in one place.
What we believe
Decision support, not engagement
The product succeeds when it makes itself unnecessary in the moment. If you open the app for 30 seconds, get a clear answer, and leave to go play — that is the best possible outcome. Playwise should cost you less time than it saves you.
Personal fit over universal acclaim
A 96 on Metacritic means nothing if the game doesn't match what you respond to. Critic consensus and personal fit are different answers to different questions. Playwise answers the one that matters for you.
Every rating makes the next one more accurate
Rate a game and the next prediction is a little sharper. Playwise tracks what you respond to across dimensions you might not have named yourself — and adjusts as your preferences shift.
Measure backlog in hours, not game count
A backlog of five indie games is roughly 25 hours. A backlog of five RPGs is 300 hours. Playwise knows the difference — and factors it into what you should play next, not just what sounds good.
How it started
I played a lot of games in my teens and twenties. Then life got busy, and I drifted to mobile — quick sessions that fit the schedule, not the games I actually wanted to play. When I finally had time again, I had a backlog a mile long and no good way to know where to start.
I asked friends. I asked forums. The recommendations I got were good…for them. They knew what they liked, not what I would like. The gap between their taste and mine wasn't obvious from a critic's rating or a review summary.
So I started tracking it myself — what I'd enjoyed, what I'd bounced off, and why. Over time that became a system I could run any game through: not a critic's take, a prediction of my own reaction. It worked well enough that I stopped second-guessing purchases. I wanted everyone to have it. That's Playwise.
Sound familiar?
For most people, a backlog is a graveyard of good intentions.
- Buy games during sales and rarely get around to playing them
- Feel vaguely guilty about your backlog
- Spend more time deciding what to play than actually playing
- Have paid full price for a game that turned out not to be for you
